The Member of Parliament-elect for the Ejisu Constituency in the Ashanti Region. Mr. John Ampontuah Kumah, has indicated that the essence of his victory at the Parliamentary poll is to lead the development drive of the famous ancient town of Ejisu.

He said he was not oblivious of the task last Monday’s Parliamentary Victory posed on him, development.

He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Ejisu for the confidence reposed in him by voting massively for him to represent them in length parliament.

Mr. Kumah garnered 69,897 votes, representing 83.5 percent of the total votes cast while his Contender Mr. George Kwame Hauze of Democratic Congress (NDC) polled 13,782 representing about 16.4 percent of the votes.

In an interview with SUPREME, Mr, Kumah said Youth employment and lack of access to basic amenities were some of the challenges facing the communities in the constituency.

The MP-elect, who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NIEP), said his desire to see they youth get employment to contribute their quota to the constituency’s development.

Mr. Kumah pledged his commitment to lobby for development projects for the communities within the Ejisu constituency when work resumed in the 8th parliament from January 7, saying that the task ahead was enormond but expressed his commitment to assist in resolving the challenges confronting the people.
