Information reaching GO News indicates that the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will release his first batch of Ministers and Deputy Minister by Monday, January 18, 2021.
According to information, the President has already penciled down some personalities who would be heading different ministerial portfolios.
So far, about Twenty-two (22) names have emerged as possible ministers and deputy ministers in Akufo-Addo’s second term as President.
This paper has gathered that Hon Osei Akoto who was the Minister for Monitoring and Evaluation would move to the Agric Ministry, Hon. Dominic Nitiwul, MP retains his position as Defence Minister and Hon. Albert Kan Dapah also retaining his post as the National Security Minister.
Hon. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen is still at Ministry of Trade and Industry, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, MP is being moved to the Ministry of Energy.
The rest are Hon. Ken Ofori Atta-Ministry of Finance, Hon. Ayorkor Botchwey- Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Mohammed Awal – Ministry of Tourism, Hon. Mustapha Ussif, MP- Ministry of Youth & Sport and Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, MP – Ministry of Works & Housing.
Hon. Abu Jinapor, MP is taking over the Ministry of Lands & Natural Resources, whilst the Ministry of Communication & Information would be headed by Hon. Ursula Owusu, MP.
Hon. Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, MP, has been moved from the Information Ministry to the Office of the President as Presidential Spokesperson.
Hon. Godfred Yeboah Dame takes over as Attorney General, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, MP- Ministry of Education, Hon. Dan Botwe, MP-Ministry of Local Government, Hon. Amoako Atta, MP- Ministry of Roads & Highways, Hon. John-Peter Amewu, MP- Ministry of Railway Development, Hon. Ambrose Derry, MP- Interior, Hon. Alhassan S. Tampuli, MP – Deputy Minister of Transport, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, MP – Deputy Mister of Energy and Hon. Farouk Aliu Mahama as Deputy Minister of Trade & Industry.
